It’s hard to believe that I will be leaving in 4 days to go back to the States. Wow! Just yesterday, our Guatemalan pastor’s wife, Damaris, became teary-eyed as we talked about that very thing. I’ve continued to make progress in looking at vehicles and housing, but most of my time this week has been spent with the group that is here from Suncoast Baptist Church. They have been working very hard at the church installing carpet, putting a roof over the entry of the church and doing a lot of small projects. What a blessing they have been! Today they are making final preparations for the youth rally tonight. On Thursday, I went with them to hike Volcano Pacaya. It was a great experience, even though it was a difficult hike. It was really neat to see the hot lava. There was big lava rock that came rolling down the mountain and almost took out a dog and few tourists. The youth pastor caught it on video and posted it on You Tube. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvyXwojIWLQ) After we realized everybody was okay, it was super hilarious!
