These past few days have been busy, but prosperous. In two days I looked at four language schools, and I believe there are some good options for continuing my language study. I’ve been able to do a little price shopping for some household items and appliances, both big and small. As we have been driving around I’ve tried to pay close attention to the types of vehicles here, and soon I hope to price shop for these also. The pharmacies here do not sell my thyroid medicine; so it looks like I will need to bring that from the States. In the news, the swine flu in Guatemala has become a big concern. There were five reported cases two weeks ago, and as of yesterday there were 22. Because of this, the government has canceled school until July 1st. Yesterday I was able to spend the afternoon in Sumpango at the feeding center. What a joy it was to be there! I am really looking forward to being an extension of God’s love here in Guatemala. The best thing that has happened so far during my visit occurred last night at church as Karina gave here life to God! It was a thrill to watch from a distance as Mindy showed her through God’s Word how she could have a personal relationship with her Lord. Glory to God! Today we welcome the McKnight’s home, as they have been in the States for a number of months. Thanks for your continued prayers as I am on the move! : )
