It was a privilege to be in attendance at the national meeting of the Baptist Bible Fellowship International held in Canton, OH. I was encouraged through the preaching of God’s Word and through the fellowship with other missionaries and pastors. Joann Foltz, missionary to Tanzania, and I were able to share a room, and that was a huge blessing to me! The final evening capped off with Steve Green singing and a message given by Jonathan Falwell. Both took me back several years…I remember being a big SG fan when I was a teenager, and JF and I were students at Liberty University at the same time. :) Oh how the years go bye! |

I am on the front-end of a 2 ½ month road trip. I am traveling East and Southeast, and then across some southern states, then headed North. I have a lot of meetings and conferences scheduled during this time and am praying God will use my efforts for His glory. Even though I would rather be in Guatemala, I really enjoy being a “promoter of missions” while I am state-side. I know that if God redirected my heart after working in public education for 12 years, there is bound to be another heart out there that God wants to redirect toward missions. In addition, I am praying that God will provide the remaining 20% of needed monthly support during this time. For this, I am making tentative plans to leave for Guatemala shortly after the New Year. I can’t wait! Please pray with me to this end! Thank you so much! : ) |

I was privileged to speak to the ladies of Bible Baptist Church of Ottawa, KS. Their retreat had a special mission emphasis and was held in Arcola, MO, at Shekinah Retreat (www.shekinahretreat.com). It was a blessing to interact with the ladies on such a personal level as I shared with them my burden for Guatemala! : ) |

It’s great to be on the road again after having a momentary pause from fund-raising (thanks to my survey trip to Guatemala and having a family vacation)! I’m excited because I am nearing the end of this stage of ministry. Having 73% of my monthly support level, I can now begin to make tentative plans for moving to Guatemala sometime after the New Year! : ) I am trusting the Lord for the remaining 27% of monthly support and the special one-time love offerings that will be needed for my "flight and furnishings” to Guatemala. Please pray for me as there are thousands of miles that need to be traveled prior to this departure. Thanks for partnering with me in this great work! : ) |
